Now, while these don't taste exactly like creamsicles, they're pretty good. Hubby even liked them, and he isn't really one for sweets. Actually, I think he ate more than I did. I'd say that's a score!
So, you want the recipe? You can print it here!
Cupcake Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of milk
2 tsp pure orange extract
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup of oil
2 cups of sugar
3 3/4 cups of self-rising flour
Make it vegan by substituting date sugar and almond milk.
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350. If you aren't using cupcake liners, go ahead and prepare your muffin pan. First, you'll want to whisk together all the wet ingredients in a medium bowl. Add the sugar and the flour to the wet mixture until all the dry ingredients are moist. Bake the cupcakes for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden. I always double check my cupcakes with a toothpick, just to make sure. Did you notice that they are EGGLESS?
The cupcakes are good, but you have to try the frosting!
Frosting Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1 8oz pkg of cream cheese
1 lb powdered sugar
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp pure orange extract
These directions are super simple. Cream the butter and cream cheese together. Mix in the extracts. Now add the sugars. See, simple!
Wait for the cupcakes to cool, and frost them. I'm telling you, the frosting makes the cupcakes, and I never say that. I'm usually a plain cupcake kind of girl, but these were ah-mazing! I think they would be perfect for some sort of simple party. They're just so... different, but good.
The next time you need something to take to a Sunday Brunch or, I don't know, a family reunion, take these. They will definitely be a hit!
Let me know what you think!
This look so yummy! My husband will go crazy for these. Can't wait to try! Thank you so much for sharing at A Bouquet of Talent. Happy Friday!!

My Hubby loved them, and he isn't really a sweets fan. Glad you want to try them!
